ASN’s Historical weather allows users to find the replica of the weather reported through a period of up to two years in the past! If you were not near your simulator on that day, at that hour when those severe weather conditions hit a given zone, get ASN running (which should preferably always be started before FSX), start FSX and place your aircraft at the right spot and under ASN’s Historical weather menu choose the date and time. This can be particularly challenging if the weather condition enroute and at departure or destination is tricky. The most widely used is surely the first, with simmers looking for a replica of real world weather to fly their short, medium or long haul flights in the simulator. The base price for the full version is $49.99 (USD), and it can be used in FSX and also in Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3d V2 when the installer for that simulation platform gets released any time soon. It will be released as soon as possible as a free extension for ASN users. After the initial release, the HiFiTech team is already testing internally a version for Prepar3D v2. ASN (Active Sky Next) is presently available only for FSX. Usually known as AS (Active Sky), the weather injectors of this line are accepted as some of the best available for FS9, FSX and Prepar3D.
The Active setting will go into standby after a period of inactivity and your Sky Q box will have an amber light.Active Sky Next is the latest of a line of products developed by HiFiTech Inc. Should you change your setting from Eco to Active or None, you will see a confirmation message on-screen. To stop this, you’ll need to switch your standby setting to Active or None. It won’t go into this mode until any scheduled recordings are complete.īringing your box out of Eco mode will take a few minutes and if you try to use your Sky Q Mini box before 5:45am, you may experience connectivity issues. This is the recommended setting as the box consumes less energy by going into low power mode between 2.30am and 5:45am. When your Sky Q box is installed, it's set to Eco. The energy saving settings for your Sky Q box are Eco or Active. If your Sky Q box is switching itself to standby, it's taking a while to switch on, or you’re having connectivity problems with your Sky Q Mini box before 5:45am, it may be because your Sky Q box standby mode is set to either Eco or Active.
